How We Helped Plan the Perfect Skydiving Proposal in the Algarve

A few weeks before arriving in Portugal, Ilia contacted us with an exciting secret. He wasn’t just booking a tandem skydive. He was planning to ask the biggest question of his life. And it all started with an email.
Ilia wanted everything to be perfect. He wanted to make sure the camera packages would be available and he asked for our advice on the best moment to propose. It was incredibly important that every second was captured forever. After reading his message, we immediately knew we wanted to help make this dream come true.
Our advice?
Wait until after landing. While proposing during freefall might sound exciting, after landing allows both of you to truly enjoy the moment together, surrounded by emotion, without distractions.
It also gives our camera team the opportunity to capture every smile, every tear and every reaction.
Planning every little detail
Over the following days, we exchanged several emails together and discussed the plan:

- Reserving an external camera flyer especially for the proposal.
- Booking a Combo Package so nothing would be missed.
- Preparing our famous “Will You Marry Me?” banner.
- Adding detailed notes to the reservation so every member of our team knew exactly what was going to happen.
We could tell that every email brought a little more excitement. You could feel how important this day was.
The big day
On the morning of the jump, everything was ready. The weather was perfect. Our camera team was properly briefed and the marriage banner was prepared. The instructors knew the plan and it began. After an unforgettable skydive over the Algarve coastline, the couple landed safely back on the ground.
Waiting in front of them was a huge banner asking “Will You Marry Me?”. Without hesitation, she said yes. The smiles, the emotions and the celebration afterwards reminded us why we absolutely love being part of moments like these. It’s more than just a skydive and that also reflects our ethos.
